Ohio State Issues Surprising Justin Fields Health Update

Ohio State issued a surprising Justin Fields health update this week.

Fields, the Buckeyes’ star quarterback, suffered an injury against Michigan this past weekend.

Following a low hit to the knee, Fields had to leave the game temporarily before ultimately returning.

After the game, it was revealed that Fields suffered a sprained MCL.

Although Ohio State made quick work of the Wolverines on Saturday, many wondered what Fields’ status would be for the Big Ten Championship game versus Wisconsin this weekend.

On Tuesday, we got an important update regarding Fields’ status.

“While he admits that his knee hurts right now, Justin Fields said he’s playing in the Big Ten Championship Game for Ohio State no matter how much it hurts,” Patrick Murphy tweeted out.

“Justin Fields said he’ll wear his bulkier knee brace in the Big Ten championship game as a preventative measure,” Joey Kaufman added.

Regardless of what happens against Wisconsin, Ohio State’s place in the College Football Playoff is secure.

The big question now is whether Fields can escape this weekend’s outing without aggravating his injury any further and then play to his full abilities once the postseason arrives.
