Notre Dame And Texas To Meet In Bowl Game

Notre Game and Texas are set to meet in a bowl game, it would appear.

The Fighting Irish and Longhorns have only met in bowl games three times over the course of their histories. The match-ups are rare and no doubt a treat for two very dedicated fanbases.

Well, according to Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports, a showdown between these two programs may just be on the horizon.

In his report, Dodd sys that he is “hearing a lot of Texas-Notre Dame buzz” for a December bowl game.

Which one?

According to Dodd, the Camping World Bowl which is scheduled for Dec. 28 may showcase these two illustrious programs.

Notre Dame and Texas previously faced off in 2016, with the Longhorns ultimately emerging victorious. The win snapped a five-game losing streak to the Fighting Irish that dated back to 1971.

In the pair’s three bowl game match-ups, Notre Dame has emerged victorious twice.
