Nick Saban Loses Yet Another Alabama Star To Transfer

Nick Saban lost yet another Alabama star to transfer on Friday.

Four-star recruit Scott Lashley entered the NCAA Transfer Portal this week.

According to AL.com’s Matt Zenitz, the offensive tackle will be moving on next year to a different program.

Because Alex Leatherwood essentially has a vice grip on the starting left tackle position, Lashley does not feel as though he will have a real opportunity to crack the rotation.

Coming out of high school Lashley was ranked as the twentieth best offensive tackle in the country and the eighth best overall prospect from the state of Mississippi.

LSU, Mississippi State and Arkansas are all expect to vie for his services.

Between transfers and the draft, the Crimson Tide are shedding a lot of talent this offseason.

Tua Tagovailoa, Jerry Jeudy, Jedrick Willis and Henry Ruggs III have all announced their intentions to enter the 2020 NFL Draft.

Saban always finds a way to make things work, but it will be interesting to see how he compensates for all the lost playmakers in preparation for the 2020 season.
