Nick Saban Gets Angry About Alabama Recruitment

Nick Saban got angry about Alabama recruitment questions this past week.

The Crimson Tide concluded its 2020 recruiting class this past Wednesday.

When it was all said and done, Saban spoke to the press about how everything had gone and what he anticipated everything to look like next season.

Everything was gone fine, right up until one question absolutely set Saban off.

“Today wasn’t a very busy day for you guys, just in terms of signatures coming in,” the reporter said.

“Was that what you expected and how do you feel like you addressed your remaining needs?”

That did not sit well with the Alabama coach.

“Do you guys take math?” he replied.

“Did you learn how to add when you did have math class? Like 22 and three make 25. Is that what we expected?

“Like, yeah, we could only sign three guys. That’s what we expected, based on math.”

Saban is known for being somewhat prickly during interviews, so his behavior ultimately was not all that shocking.

The Crimson Tide’s 2020 recruiting class trails only Georgia in the rankings.

Alabama is coming off a somewhat disappointing, injury-riddled campaign that saw the program miss the College Football Playoff.

Assuming health returns to normal and the new recruits step up the way they are expected to, the Crimson Tide should bounce back strong come next year.
