Nick Saban and Alabama stole a North Carolina star this week.

This past weekend tight end Carl Tucker visited Tuscaloosa as he looked for a new place to call home.

After spending five years with North Carolina, the graduate transfer wanted to close his collegiate career out somewhere new.

Over the course of his time with the Tar Heels, Tucker recorded 549 yards and four scores on 36 receptions. In 2018, his best year, Tucker amassed 265 yards and two scores on 16 receptions.

With impressive totals to his name, Tucker was invited to visit Alabama and Florida State.

Ultimately, Saban and the Crimson Tide won him over.

Tucker made the announcement of where he would be transferring to on social media this week.

A former three-star recruit from William Amos Hough High School, Tucker will now be placed in his best ever position to win a National Championship.

This past offseason Alabama lost receivers Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs III to the pros, so getting Tucker is a win for all sides.

What sort of impact will Tucker have on the Crimson Tide offense in 2020? Time will tell.
