Russell Wilson, Ciara Deemed Not Famous Enough To Cut Line?

Russell Wilson, Ciara Deemed Not Famous Enough To Cut Line?

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson and Ciara are two prominent figures in the sports and entertainment worlds.

The latter has had a successful music career spanning more than a decade; the former is a Super Bowl champ.

That said, it appears their credentials are not enough to keep them from getting disrespected.

This past week Wilson and Ciara attempted to enter the extremely private beach club and restaurant La Guérite, located on the island of Sainte Marguerite in Cannes. Unfortunately, it didn’t go well for them.

“Ciara and Russell Wilson 1, 2 stepped their way into exclusive beach club and restaurant La Guérite on the island of Sainte Marguerite in Cannes, France, but found themselves dealing with lines like the rest of the peasants,” Page Six reported.

“They had to wait in the queue like the rest of us!” one person revealed.

BSO put it even more bluntly. “Russell Wilson and Ciara were told they aren’t famous enough to skip the line to enter exclusive beach club and restaurant La Guérite,” they wrote.

Yikes.

For whatever reason, Wilson and Ciara have become something of a media punching bag in recent years. Despite seemingly being very nice and normal people, they just keep getting disrespected openly by everyone.

Whether it’s certain folks getting offended by one of their videos or them having to run away from Future at a party, it just feels like it’s one thing after another with them.

In some ways it feels like Wilson and Ciara welcome the attention, both positive and negative.

For example, nobody forced Ciara to make her recent embarrassing confession. Then again, in other ways, it feels like they are just the targets of other people’s bitterness – like when a former NFL star took aim at their marriage.

Which would explain why one of Wilson’s teammates, D.K. Metcalf, felt the need to come out and address the couple’s status.

It will be interesting to see how them being a lightning rod for attention ultimately carries over into the NFL season. Wilson has a lot to prove this year as he takes over the Broncos offense.

This might be the most important of his pro career.

Will he be able to restore some semblance of respectability to a Broncos group that hasn’t really done much of note in recent years?

Time will tell.
