Texans Make Huge Injury Update Before Chiefs Game
The Texans made a huge injury update before the Chiefs game.
Houston rallied late from 16-0 hole to beat the Buffalo Bills on Saturday. Part of the reason why they were down so badly for much of the game was due to a sputtering offense.
One of Deshaun Watson’s favorite targets, Will Fuller, sat out of the outing due to a hamstring injury.
Fortunately, he will reportedly be back ahead of next weekend’s looming showdown with Kansas City.
Help is on the way for playoff teams next week:
— The #Texans are expecting to have WR Will Fuller (groin) active vs. the #Chiefs, barring a setback.
— The #49ers are expecting to have pass-rusher Dee Ford (hamstring) for the divisional game. He’s been limited or out for a month.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) January 5, 2020
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, barring setback, Fuller should suit up versus the Chiefs.
Beyond just providing Watson with an additional weapon, Fuller also provides a huge boost to Houston’s other wide receivers. Him being on the field frees up additional space for DeAndre Hopkins and permits Kenny Stills to draw less attention.
Getting Fuller back will be absolutely huge if the Texans have any hope of upsetting the Chiefs next weekend.
