Patriots Issue Surprising Injury Update For Julian Edelman
The Patriots issued a surprising injury update for Julian Edelman this week.
Edelman has had something of a rough year when it comes to his health.
The 33-year-old is currently being hampered by pain in his knee and shoulder, and footage from a recent practice showed him having serious troubles getting through receiving drills.
This is a big problem for New England, as the team has been considerably worse this year on offense than it was in seasons past.
A lack of options for Tom Brady to throw to, coupled with his natural age-related deterioration, has put a lot of undue stress on the team’s defense to pick up the slack.
On Thursday, the Patriots announced that Edelman is officially “questionable” for this weekend’s big game against the Buffalo Bills.
Patriots injury report:
Out — CB Jonathan Jones (groin)
Doubtful — none
Questionable — LB Ja’Whaun Bentley (knee), LB Jamie Collins (shoulder), WR Julian Edelman (knee/shoulder), CB Jason McCourty (groin)

Should Edelman sit Saturday’s outing out, wide receivers N’Keal Harry and Jakobi Meyers will have to step up in his place.
With a win over Buffalo, New England would clinch the division for the 11th consecutive season.
Will the Patriots ultimately be able to get it done? We’ll find out in exactly two days.
