Drew Lock’s Girlfriend Natalie Newman Goes Viral In Seahawks Loss
Drew Lock and the Seattle Seahawks fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers 32-25 on Saturday.
Geno Smith got the starting nod from head coach Pete Carroll, but Lock played the entire second half.
When it was all said and done, Lock went 11-of-15 for 102 yards and one lost fumble. Those numbers were fairly similar to Smith’s final totals: 10-of-15 passing for 101 yards. It will be interesting to see who ultimately wins this quarterback battle as the preseason progresses.
Lock’s on the field playing skills weren’t the only thing that landed him in the headlines this weekend. His girlfriend, Natalie Newman, also captured folks’ attention.
She posted this ahead of his big Seahawks debut:
Understandably, since most didn’t even know that Lock had a girlfriend, Newman’s post left quite the impression.

Big picture, it will be interesting to see how Lock fares in Seattle. Smith seems to have the advantage on him as far as starting, but it’s still fairly early in the process.
If Lock can make some things happen, get the starting nod and show some of the talent he exhibited at one point early in his run with the Denver Broncos – he could still turn his career around.

And if that happens, much like Kenny Pickett and Amy Paternost, Lock and Newman will become one of the NFL’s more intriguing young power couples.
If Lock can’t make it work with the Seahawks, though – it’d be hard to see him get another shot at starting at the NFL level at any point in the foreseeable future.
