Colin Kaepernick’s Outfit To 2025 Met Gala Goes Viral

Colin Kaepernick's Outfit To 2025 Met Gala Goes Viral

Former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick and his longtime girlfriend Nessa Diab turned heads at the 2025 Met Gala in New York City on Monday night.

The couple made a surprise appearance at the prestigious fashion event, which celebrated this year’s theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” with a dress code of “Tailored For You.” Kaepernick, now 37, sported a sleek maroon suit with black accents and an afro hairstyle that complemented the evening’s focus on Black style.

Diab impressed onlookers in an elegant full-length black gown paired with a dramatic puffer-style jacket as they walked the event’s blue carpet. The couple, who have been together since 2015 and welcomed a child in 2022, joined the usual array of celebrities, including actors, musicians, models, and designers who annually gather at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for this major fashion celebration. Their appearance marked a notable moment for the athletic community at the culturally significant gala.

Colin Kaepernick Continues His Quest for NFL Return

Colin Kaepernick remains determined to return to professional football, despite not having played in the NFL since 2016. The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback, now 37, continues to train rigorously for a potential comeback opportunity.

In a 2024 interview with Sky Sports, Kaepernick affirmed he is “still training, still pushing” toward his goal of returning to the league. His dedication is unwavering, as reports indicate he maintains a daily training regimen.

The quarterback’s career trajectory changed dramatically following his decision to kneel during the national anthem before games in 2016. This protest against racial injustice and police brutality sparked nationwide debate and has been linked to his subsequent absence from NFL rosters.

Despite his persistence, Kaepernick has received limited interest from teams. His most recent NFL workout occurred in 2022 with the Las Vegas Raiders, but no contract materialized. He has remained unsigned since becoming a free agent in 2017, nearly eight years removed from his Super Bowl appearance with the 49ers.

While some football analysts suggest his NFL aspirations might be unrealistic given his extended absence and age, Kaepernick shows no signs of abandoning his comeback efforts.
