Jameis Winston Needs To Sign With Steelers, Says ESPN
Jameis Winston needs to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers, says ESPN. The worldwide leader is not the first to make this suggestion.
On Friday of last week, Tom Brady officially inked a contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. When he did so, he immediately ensured that Winston would be playing in a different uniform come 2020-21.
What uniform, precisely? That remains unclear.
Last week, NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero indicated that Pittsburgh might make a lot of sense. Peter King of NBC Sports echoed that sentiment.
Now Marcus Spears of ESPN is co-signing both men’s take on the matter.

“Jameis needs to got to Pittsburgh and Jameis needs to sit behind Ben Roethlisberger for a year,” Spears said on Get Up!.
“I believe it’ll do him great service to just sit back and watch the game. The one fascinating thing about Jameis Winston is his ceiling is as high as anybody’s in the NFL based on the successful things that we’ve seen him do.
“And obviously we lament about the 30 interceptions that weren’t all his fault. But with that being said, if he can go and sit behind Ben, get under Mike Tomlin’s wing, Mason Rudolph and Duck Hodges aren’t the future in Pittsburgh. We kind of see Jameis and Ben in that same vein, big guys, strong arms and offenses tailored to what they like to do.”
Will Winston ultimately end up with the Steelers? Time will tell.
