Eagles Issue Unfortunate Health Update Before Seahawks Game
The Eagles issued an unfortunate health update before the Seahawks game.
Heading into this weekend, it is increasingly starting to look like Philadelphia will be without tight end Zach Ertz.
The Pro Bowler suffered a fractured rib in Week 16 and did not play in the team’s final regular season game of the year against the New York Giants.
Last week, Dallas Goedert stepped up in Ertz’s absence and finished with four catches for 65 yards.
Zach Ertz has not been medically cleared for contact yet, per Doug Pederson. He and Lane Johnson are expected to participate in today’s walk-through.

A similar performance may be necessary against Seattle if Ertz ultimately cannot suit up again.
As of Wednesday, the Philadelphia medical staff has not yet cleared Ertz for contact.
Can Carson Wentz beat a formidable Seahawks defense without arguably his best receiving option?
We’ll find out this Sunday.
