Arizona Cardinals Make Surprising 2020 Announcement
The Arizona Cardinals made a surprising 2020 announcement this week.
Legendary wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald is going to return for one more season.
Many thought that Fitzgerald’s 16th year with Arizona would be his last, but it appears the future Hall of Famer still has one more go left in him.
Fitzgerald has signed a one-year deal with the organization that will allow him to re-evaluate his options once again at the conclusion of his 2020-21 campaign.
Team head coach Kliff Kingsbury recently joked that his pitch to Fitzgerald when it came to staying was a simple one.
He’s back.

“Please come back,” he recounted.
“I think he’s playing as good as anybody, honestly,” Kingsbury said recently.
“You watch what he does week-in and week-out, the little things, the blocking and the toughness that he brings to the offensive side of the football.
“We missed him twice for huge plays yesterday. He’s just still creating separation. He does it all.”
Fitzgerald led the Cardinals in receptions this past season with 74 catches for 804 yards and four scores.
At this point Fitzgerald is widely regarded as one of the greatest wide receivers of all time.
He currently only sits behind Jerry Rice with 1,378 receptions and just over 17,000 yards for his career. He is also in sixth place as it pertains to touchdown receptions, with 120 total.
