Jane Slater is one of the most respected NFL reporters in the game today.

On a seemingly weekly basis, Slater makes headlines for her breaking news updates and irreplaceable coverage of all things football.

This Sunday, Slater found herself going viral on social media for something of an unexpected reason: her choice of outfit.

It all started when Slater posted this photo of herself to Twitter from today’s game between the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders:

Although Slater’s tweet was a seemingly-innocuous one, it generated a ton of replies on social media.

They were largely what you would expect from NFL fans:

Slater’s fashion picks weren’t the only ones that generated headlines this weekend. Charissa Thompson’s choice of wardrobe for her interview with a San Francisco 49ers star also caused something of a stir.

Ditto for what Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jarrett Stidham’s wife, Kennedy, wore to his showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Slater is an immensely popular reporter. She boasts more than 100,000 followers on Instagram and routinely sets the internet ablaze for posts like this:

So in some respects, the response she got this weekend was relatively unsurprising.

That said, it is still a fresh reminder of just how much star power she posseses.

What will Slater ultimately trend on social media for next?

Time will tell.
