Nebraska pole vaulter Jess Gardner set the internet ablaze this week with her choice of Halloween costume.
Over the past year, while the Huskers’ football program has languished, the school’s other sports programs have stepped up. Volleyball is obviously the biggest story at the institution now, but track has been quite impressive as well.
Gardner, who quietly emerged as the face of Nebraska’s track program, has been the biggest beneficiary of the football squad’s dysfunction. She was able to amass a huge following on social media and goes viral pretty routinely as a result.
This week, Gardner’s Halloween costume blew up online.

This isn’t the first time in recent months that Gardner has caused a stir in this fashion. Between her wild vacation photos, provocative shower video and memorable going out snaps, it has been one thing after another with her.
In addition to all that, Gardner’s general social media content does really well, too.

Over the past month, Matt Rhule has actually somewhat gotten Nebraska’s football team back on track. They have won three straight and now sit at 5-3 for the year.
Obviously they won’t be winning a championship any time soon, but at least the squad slowly marching towards marginal respectability.
