New York Giants Make Big Move

The New York Giants made a big move this week.

Head coach Joe Judge has reportedly hired a notable name to address a legitimate area of concern.

According to Patrick Brown of 247Sports, New York is hiring Tennessee inside linebackers coach and special teams coordinator Kevin Sherrer.

Sherrer’s started out coaching in 2001 as a defensive backs coach for Spain Park High School. Four years later, he moved to Hoover High School.

In 2010, Sherrer was named Alabama’s Director of Player Development under Nick Saban. That relationship lasted for two years, wat which point he moved to South Alabama as a defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach.

After one year, Sherrer went to Georgia and became the Bulldogs’ outside linebackers coach. In the process, Georgia won a College Football National Championship.

In 2018, Sherrer moved to Tennessee and became the defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach under Jeremy Pruitt.

With former Wisconsin and Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema already having been hired to be the outside linebackers coach, Sherrer will probably be the Giants’ new inside linebackers coach.
