New USC AD Mike Bohn Has Strong Words For Clay Helton
New USC AD Mike Bohn has strong words for Clay Helton.
On Thursday, the Trojans hosted an introductory press conference for their new athletic director.
During the press conference, Bohn was asked to address his expectations for Helton – particularly given all the rumors floating around that the head coach was on borrowed time.
“This time of year, we expect him to finish strong,” Bohn said.

“I mention fight on and the sense of being able to do that. It’s also fight on to victory. It’s important to win. You heard the president talking about that. Winning.
“I’m not trying to add more pressure to him or the student athletes, but you always want to finish strong. Good programs finish strong.
“We want to see him and his team finish strong, and I’m going to do everything I can to support those young men and those coaches.”
USC is coming off a particularly brutal loss to Oregon last week that many believe sealed Helton’s fate.
Next up for the Trojans: a showdown versus Arizona State.
