Steve Kerr Explains The Problem With Draymond Green
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has had to do a lot of ego managing throughout the course of his run with the organization.
Over the past few years, Draymond Green has made Kerr’s job a lot harder. Even his behavior after Klay Thompson departed this past offseason was questionable.
This week Kerr did an interview where he recalled all the times Green’s actions went over the edge.
“There are a lot of examples,” Kerr admitted.
“But for sure, the Jordan Poole incident stands out. He crossed the line with Jordan, and he knew it immediately. That made the season incredibly difficult for everybody.”
“What is the angriest that you have been at Draymond Green?”

Fans had some strong reactions to Kerr’s statement:
There’s really nothing to laugh about, this mf singlehandedly ruined a dynasty, ran KD out of GS, sucker-punched and got Poole traded, Klay gone etc…

Even with everything they put him thru his last szn at GS Poole played all 82, avg 20ppg off the bench and 26ppg and 6 assists when he started in place of Steph when he was injured and had 200 made 3’s. He helped the team win games when Steph didn’t play. But you traded him? pic.twitter.com/nJmrm5AIhG

While Green has obviously been problematic for Kerr and the Warriors in certain capacities, he has also been tremendously helpful in others.
The juice, ultimately, has proven to be worth the squeeze with him.
Will Green ultimately mellow out as he gets older and make Kerr’s life a little easier? Time will tell.
