NBA Insider Confirms Warriors’ Plan To Go After LeBron James
The Golden State Warriors have been linked to a possible Jimmy Butler trade in recent days.
That said, he isn’t the only star Golden State is being connected to.
The idea of LeBron James coming to the Warriors to play with Stephen Curry continues to be floated.
This week NBA insider Tom Haberstroh once again suggested that a Curry-James pairing was in the cards.

“I think this summer, the [Golden State Warriors] are gonna be trading for LeBron James,” Haberstoh said.
“If they don’t find their big fish, the Golden State Warriors, here at the trade deadline, if Mike Dunleavy Jr. doesn’t figure it out… they’re going to go after LeBron.”
It is worth remembering that this isn’t the first time a James-Curry pairing has been suggested.

Warriors’ Bold Move: LeBron James Trade Bid
The Golden State Warriors made a surprising attempt to acquire LeBron James from the Los Angeles Lakers just before the NBA trade deadline last year. This audacious move involved secret discussions between team owners and agents over a 24-hour period.
Warriors owner Joe Lacob reached out to Lakers owner Jeanie Buss to explore the possibility of a trade. Buss directed Lacob to James’ agent, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports, to gauge James’ interest. Paul firmly stated that James had no desire to leave the Lakers.
Warriors star Draymond Green, also represented by Klutch Sports, sent a text message to Paul seeking help in persuading James to join Golden State. This effort proved futile, as James remained committed to staying in Los Angeles.
The Warriors’ interest in James stemmed from his continued exceptional play at age 39. They believed he could potentially extend their championship window.
While this trade bid was unsuccessful, the Warriors may revisit their pursuit of James in the offseason.
The Philadelphia 76ers also made a brief inquiry about James’ availability. Their president of basketball operations, Daryl Morey, called Lakers GM Rob Pelinka but was quickly rebuffed. Pelinka countered by asking about Joel Embiid’s availability, ending the conversation.
