The Los Angeles Lakers are down bad right now. Despite entering the year with championship aspirations, they’re currently 27-34 and ninth in the Western Conference. There is a very good chance they’ll end up missing the playoffs altogether.
As a result of all the losing, much infighting has commenced. Specifically, LeBron James seemingly opted to wage war against the front office shortly after the NBA Trade Deadline. It got so bad, in fact, that Lakers owner Jeanie Buss had to go out and put James in his place.
But the tough times didn’t end there.
This week, a number of Buss’ old racy messages involving current NBA players resurfaced. For obvious reasons, they immediately went viral.
Met Jonny Flynn of Minnesota Timberwolves before game. If I had # 1 pick I would draft him. He is a cutie.

The Lakers can’t stop taking Ls, and the humiliations just keep coming and coming.
At this point, it’s hard to see how LA could possibly dig itself out of this hole. There’s a reason why there’s suddenly so much chatter about Anthony Davis getting traded to the Chicago Bulls.
Things are that rough right now.

Obviously the season isn’t over yet and anything can happen. Theoretically, the Lakers could still recover.
But is that where the smart money’s at right now? Probably not.
