Heat Coach Has Harsh Words Regarding Jimmy Butler
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra had harsh words regarding Jimmy Butler this week.
More specifically, he was extremely agitated about his superstar forward not receiving a starting spot in the All-Star game.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Spoelstra called Butler’s snub a “joke.”
“Jimmy Butler should be a starter at this All-Star Game,” he said.
“It’s a joke that he’s not.”
The Eastern Conference All-Star starters were announced earlier in the week.

Boston Celtics guard Kemba Walker, Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young, Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam and Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid ultimately walked away with the honors.
While it is hard to see who Spoelstra would want to exclude from that group to give his guy a starting spot, it is undeniable that Butler has had a stellar campaign with the Heat.
On the year, he is averaging 20.3 points, 7 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.8 assists per game.
Entering Friday, Miami was 31-13 through 44 games and was tied for the third best record in the entire NBA.
