Damian Lillard Names Best Player In NBA Today (Video)
Damian Lillard named the best player in the NBA today during a recent radio show appearance.
As one of the top players in the league right now, Lillard is uniquely qualified to assess his fellow players. Everyone has an opinion on the subject, obviously, but few possess his pedigree.
During an appearance on the Dan Patrick Show this week, Lillard offered his thoughts on who the best player in the NBA today is.
The topic came about when Lillard was asked for his ideal running mate in a 2-on-2 game.

“I’m showing up with Kevin Durant,” Lillard said.
“I think that’s pretty easy… when healthy, I think him and LeBron are right there. I think KD healthy could very well be the best player in the NBA.”
Lillard’s point is hard to argue with. When he is 100 percent, no one has the offensive game that Durant has. He is one of the best scorers to ever play the game.
As a general rule, Lillard is a pretty straight-up guy. Whether he is breaking down why he didn’t like Jordan Poole, naming the four best NBA players of all time or explaining why he is the second greatest shooter in league history – he tends to keep it pretty real.

This was just the latest example of that.
Obviously Lillard is currently in the midst of a pretty awkward situation, but it is nice to see that it isn’t holding him back from making public appearances and just doing his general thing.
Lillard and Durant are two of the best players in the league right now, so it’s great that there is such a healthy respect their for each other’s talents.
