Bryce James’ Interesting Comments About Brother Bronny

Bryce James' Interesting Comments About Brother Bronny

Bryce James achieved a significant milestone by winning the CIF state Division I championship with Sierra Canyon, defeating Stockton Lincoln 58-53. This accomplishment holds special meaning as it’s something his older brother Bronny James never achieved during his high school career.

When asked if this victory gave him bragging rights over Bronny, Bryce displayed remarkable humility. “He definitely should’ve had one in COVID,” Bryce noted, adding, “I’d still say it’s 1-1.” This response highlights the respect between the brothers, as Bryce believes Bronny’s team would have won their championship opportunity in 2020 had the game not been canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions.

LeBron James, along with his wife Savannah and daughter Zhuri, attended the championship game at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento to support Bryce. Despite shooting struggles (1-9 from the field for just 3 points), Bryce contributed with 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and a block.

During the game, LeBron actively coached from the sidelines, encouraging his son to maintain confidence despite shooting difficulties. “My dad on the sideline, he’s always coaching me up,” Bryce explained. “Even how tonight was, I wasn’t making shots, but he just told me to keep shooting.”

Following the victory, LeBron expressed his pride on Instagram with a congratulatory message for his son, demonstrating the strong family support system behind the young athlete.

The championship victory marks the conclusion of Bryce’s high school basketball career at Sierra Canyon. The 17-year-old has committed to the University of Arizona for his collegiate career, where he hopes to continue his championship success.

The James family basketball legacy continues to grow, with Bronny currently beginning his professional journey and Bryce now heading to a major college program. Their father’s influence remains evident in both their playing styles and mental approach to the game.
