Stephen A. Smith is on break from ESPN’s First Take this week.

With the sports year experiencing something of a down period, Smith decided this was the perfect time for a bit of rest and relaxation.

On Wednesday, photos surfaced of Smith enjoying himself in an expensive Barbados hotel – and he wasn’t alone.

The mystery woman Smith was with quickly went viral on social media.

According to The Daily Mail, Smith stayed at the beachfront Sandy Lane Hotel in Barbados. Suites there, apparently, can go for roughly $4,000 per night.

Of course, given what Smith makes at ESPN – he can afford that bill.

As for his mystery woman vacation partner, it isn’t clear who she is. Smith has obviously romantically linked to others in the past, including his ESPN co-workers, but rarely has he actually come out and confirmed anything about his personal life.

It’s hard to see that changing this time around.

Smith isn’t the only ‘First Take’ cast member making headlines this week. His partner in crime on the show, Molly Qerim, caused something of a stir in recent days over her selfie with her friends.

Smith was and continues to be one of ESPN’s most prominent personalities.

Whether he is talking about his current relationship with Skip Bayless, offering his thoughts on Kawhi’s Leonard’s sister or making questionable comments about Qerim – the man is an undeniable sports media legend.

Anything he touches turns to gold. Hence all the intrigue about how he spends his free time.

Will the identity of Smith’s mystery woman ever come out? Will he be the one to address it? One way or another, the answer to those questions will emerge soon enough.
