Russell Westbrook’s choice of outfit to the 2023 Met Gala caused something of a stir.
Westbrook is coming off what was inarguably the most interesting year of his NBA career.
At one point, when he was with the Los Angeles Lakers, it looked like he might be out of the league by next season. His stint with the Los Angeles Clippers in the second half of the year gave him fresh life as a ballplayer and made a lot of fans excited to see where he’d end up next.
With the Clippers being out of the playoffs, Westbrook was free on Monday night to attend the 2023 Met Gala. Other NBA stars like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Dwyane Wade were also in attendance, but it was Westbrook’s choice of outfit that stole the show.

That said, Gilgeous-Alexander definitely wowed some people as well.

It is unclear whether his girlfriend came with him, as she caused something of a buzz with her wild photos going viral earlier this year.

Big picture, fashion stuff aside, it will be interesting to see where Westbrook goes from here.

Westbrook proved at the end of the season that he still has some good years left in him – assuming teams utilize him appropriately.
What squad will step up and do that? Where will Westbrook ultimately be playing come next year? An answer to both those questions will emerge soon enough.
