Knicks Star Apologizes For Sexist Comments
A Knicks star apologized for his sexist comments this week.
On Wednesday night, New York forward Marcus Morris sparked controversy over the terms he used to refer to Memphis Grizzlies veteran, Jae Crowder.
Morris was particularly outraged over Crowder’s decision to steal the ball and launch a three-pointer at the end of an already decided game.
Crowder’s actions led to a brief altercation between the Grizzlies and Knicks.
I apologize for using the term “female tendencies” I have the upmost respect for women and everything they mean to us. It was a Heat of the moment response and I never intended for any Women to feel as though in anyway I’m disrespecting them. Again I apologize with my comments.

“I think dude is just, he plays the game a different way. A lot of female tendencies on the court,” Morris said to reporters.
“Flopping, throwing his head back the entire game. It’s a man’s game and you just get tired of it at the end of the day.
“When you step back and shoot a 3 and try to rub it in that they’re winning, it’s just unprofessional,” he continued.
“That’s soft. His game is soft. He’s soft. That’s how he carries [himself]. It’s just very woman-like.”
After receiving backlash for his derogatory terminology, Morris apologized on Twitter.
“I apologize for using the term ‘female tendencies’ I have the upmost respect for women and everything they mean to us,” he tweeted out.
“It was a Heat of the moment response and I never intended for any Women to feel as though in anyway I’m disrespecting them. Again I apologize with my comments.”
Morris has been a lone bright spot for New York this year.
On the season, he is averaging 19.2 points and 5.5 rebounds per outing. Many expect him to get traded for assets before the looming February NBA Trade Deadline.
The Knicks currently sit at 13-36 through 49 games this year.
