Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic is widely regarded as a generational talent akin to LeBron James. Ever since he joined the NBA, he has been one of the league’s best players.
That said – one criticism has consistently dogged Doncic since he became a pro. His conditioning has always been problematic.
Last year in particular Doncic came into the season looking extremely fat, and it was something that visibly slowed him down. It was so bad that even Mavs owner Mark Cuban addressed the matter publicly.
It appears that Doncic doesn’t want history to repeat itself.
Recent photos and videos of him that came out this week show Doncic in perhaps the best shape of his life. This visual largely speaks for itself:

Big picture, Doncic being on the roster ensures that the Mavericks are always a title threat. But if he is actually motivated and in great shape – Dallas is straight up scary.
And if that wasn’t enough, the Mavericks were also recently linked to a blockbuster superstar trade that could dramatically alter the team’s makeup. If it materializes, it’s game over for the Western Conference.

Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns learned the hard way last season what happens when Doncic becomes focused on destruction.
Watch this space.
Doncic and the Mavs might be the most fascinating squad around come 2022-23.
