Giannis Antetokounmpo Picks Surprising NBA Star To Be Best Man At Wedding
Giannis Antetokounmpo got married to his longtime girlfriend Mariah Riddlesprigger this past weekend.
The pair previously had gone viral for his racy public messages to her, so it was always very clear how in love they were. This just makes it official.
Multiple NBA players were on hand to witness the joyous occasion, but one in particular took a bigger part in the proceedings than the rest.
Because Giannis is so popular and well-known around the league for being close to his brothers, the expectation was that one of them would serve as his best man.
Much to everyone’s surprise – that didn’t end up happening.
Rather, Giannis’ best man ended up being his longtime Milwaukee Bucks teammate, Khris Middleton.
Given that these two hated each other at one point, it’s easy to see why Giannis’ decision caught some folks off guard. That said, clearly they are in a better place now as far as their relationship goes. Winning a championship together will do that.
Among the other reported guests at the wedding: Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, Jrue Holiday, Damian Lillard, the Bucks team owners and celebrities like Serena Williams.
Photos from the ceremony hit the internet shortly thereafter:

How will Giannis’ nuptials impact him when the 2024-25 NBA season ultimately tips off? Time will tell.
