Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard has always marched to the beat of his own drum.
Whereas other players around the league are concerned with expectations set for them by fans and media like, Leonard was never about that. His childhood photos paint a pretty clear picture of who he has always been.
Because Leonard has always been such a unique personality, a certain air of mystery has constantly followed him around.
This week, a shirt he wore to the U.S. Open really illustrated the level of ambiguity that accompanies him:

Fashion choices notwithstanding, this is shaping up to be a massive year for Leonard. He missed all of last season because he was hurt and the Clippers failed to make the playoffs altogether.
Over the summer Leonard has undergone a full body transformation. He looks like the Incredible Hulk nowadays.
After all the drama and friction between him and the Clippers last year, clearly all parties involved have resolved to move forward and attempt to legitimately compete for a championship in 2022-23.

If L.A. succeeds in winning a title or comes close to it, it would solidify Leonard as one of the greatest players of his generation.
Should the Clippers fail, though – then the Leonard-Paul George pairing will go down in NBA lore as one of the most disappointing partnerships in modern league history.
