Cleveland Cavaliers’ New Uniforms Met With Massive Backlash (Video)

The Cleveland Cavaliers introduced their new uniforms to the public this week. It didn’t quite go as planned.

Coming into the new season, the Cavs are one of the East’s most intriguing squads. After acquiring Donovan Mitchell last year, they got off to a really hot start. Unfortunately, as the season progressed towards its conclusion, all that momentum petered out.

In the end, Cleveland wound up getting sent home early in the playoffs courtesy of the New York Knicks.

Before Mitchell and Co. can commence with the 2023-24 NBA season and try to erase memories of last year’s disappointment, the team made something of a big announcement: they have new uniforms rolling out.

Unfortunately, fans didn’t taken kindly to the new look.

They immediately took to social media to vocalize their backlash:

Big picture, this has become something of a theme around the NBA. The Los Angeles Clippers’ newest uniforms were mocked endlessly as well.

Clearly Nike isn’t quite connecting with fans.

The reception to Cleveland’s new uniforms is just the latest example of that.

Will the Cavaliers find a way to find a way to get on the same page with fans regarding their uniforms going forward? Time will tell.
