Caitlin Clark Endorses 2024 Presidential Candidate, Upsets Some
Caitlin Clark is one of the most polarizing athletes in sports today.
Some have regarded her as the most racially persecuted star since Jackie Robinson. Others think she is a crybaby who is coddled by the media.
Either way, Clark has generally done her best to stay out of the debates involving her.
This week, unfortunately, Clark caused something of a stir when she seemingly endorsed a candidate for the 2024 Presidential election.
It all started with Taylor Swift publicly endorsing Kamala Harris following her debate with Donald Trump. She posted a lengthy message on social media regarding the endorsement. Clark immediately liked it, which make took to mean that she too supported Harris.
The reactions poured in quickly:

Hate to have to explain this to yall. But if someone stops being a fan because of a player’s political affiliation then they were never actual fans of that player and were there to push agendas

When asked about her liking of Swift’s post, Clark offered a thoughtful response.

“I think for myself, I have this amazing platform, so I think the biggest thing would be to encourage people to vote,” Clark said.
“I think this is the second time I can vote in a (presidential) election at age 22. I could vote when I was 18. So I think do that, that’s the biggest thing that I can do with the platform that I have. That’s the same thing Taylor did.
“I think continue to educate yourself with the candidates we have, the policies that they’re supporting. I think that that’s the biggest thing you can do and that’s what I would recommend to every single person that has this opportunity in our country.”
Will Clark’s endorsement have any long-term ramifications for her brand? Time will tell.
