Bryson DeChambeau is one of the most talked about golfers participating in this week’s Masters Tournament at Augusta National. The 27-year-old headed into the competition as a 15/2 favorite, narrowly edging out Dustin Johnson, Jon Rahm and Justin Thomas.
While DeChambeau and his long game barrel have been the topic of much chatter in recent days, the other thing that folks can’t seem to stop talking about is his girlfriend, Sophia Phalen Bertolami.
Sophia has nearly 60,000 followers on Instagram and is quickly becoming one of the popular athlete significant others in the nation.
Although little is known about Sophia beyond her profession and love for giant pigs, she reportedly began dating DeChambeau back in 2018. Since then, the Tennessee-bred viral sensation has become something of a golf permanent fixture.
When DeChambeau began getting recognized for having a scientific and methodical approach to the sport, it was Sophia who attempted to further that reputation.

“Despite being a mad scientist, I’ll always love holding your hand. So proud of you B,” she wrote in the caption of one Instagram post.
Her association with DeChambeau notwithstanding, Sophia is also an impressive person on her own accord. According to reports, she is a 2014 Chapman University graduate and has a degree in Kinesiology and Nutrition.

Earlier this year, Sophia announced that she would be joining the residency program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
“Words can’t express how truly excited I am to begin my residency program at Vanderbilt University Medical Centre this July,” she wrote.
“Although today would have technically been our graduation date, I am beyond grateful for every single person working on the front lines and for everyone staying home.
“Cheers to the next chapter, we made it! ps: spending the day at bells bend with a surplus of wine has been a lot more fun than sitting in an auditorium for 5 hours anyways.”

Regardless of how he performs this week, DeChambeau can rest easy knowing he has an absolute star at home.
