Montrezl Harrell’s Blunt Reaction To Andre Drummond Signing

The Los Angeles Lakers got a huge boost this weekend when they were able to sign a recently bought out Andre Drummond.

Drummond considered signing with the Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks, Boston Celtics and Charlotte Hornets before ultimately landing with the defending champs.

In the immediate aftermath of the signing Montrezl Harrell came out and offered his thoughts on it.

As usual, he kept it real.

“He’s a big, dominant presence, and it’s definitely gonna be a good breath of fresh air to have him come onto our lineup,” Harrell said.

“I think he’s eager and ready to go and ready to get after it. So, I mean, that’s a great attitude that you need to have coming into an organization…We can’t wait for him to get here. We’re going to welcome him with open arms.”

Drummond averaged 17.5 points and 13.5 rebounds in 25 starts this season with the Cleveland Cavaliers this past year. He’ll be an immediate boost for a Lakers team that just got some bad news about LeBron James’ recovery time on the heels of getting an unfortunate update about Anthony Davis’ health.

LA was also said to be in the hunt for LaMarcus Aldridge, but he ultimately passed on the purple and gold and signed with the Brooklyn Nets for a pretty sensible reason.

Will Drummond be the spark that turns the Lakers’ whole season around? Time will tell.
