Milwaukee Brewers Karen Shannon Kobylarczyk Gets Fired From Job After Call ICE Comment Against Dodgers Fan

Milwaukee Brewers Karen Shannon Kobylarczyk Gets Fired From Job After Call ICE Comment Against Dodgers Fan

A disturbing incident at American Family Field during Game 2 of the National League Championship Series has drawn widespread attention after a Milwaukee Brewers fan made racist threats toward a Latino Los Angeles Dodgers supporter.

The confrontation, which was captured on video and quickly spread across social media platforms, involved a woman later identified as Shannon Kobylarczyk who threatened to contact Immigration and Customs Enforcement against the opposing team’s fan.

The incident resulted in immediate consequences for Kobylarczyk, who lost her position at ManpowerGroup, a Milwaukee-based staffing company, and stepped down from her role on the Make-A-Wish Wisconsin board of directors.

The video shows the woman making derogatory comments and threatening behavior toward Ricardo Fosado, the Dodgers fan who recorded the encounter, highlighting ongoing issues with fan conduct at professional sporting events.

Milwaukee Brewers “Karen” Reported Ricardo Fosado

Shannon Kobylarczyk contacted stadium security following her confrontation with Dodgers fan Ricardo Fosado during the playoff game. Security personnel subsequently escorted Fosado from the venue after receiving the report from Kobylarczyk.

Fosado found himself as the sole Dodgers supporter in a section dominated by Milwaukee fans. The situation intensified when Jackson Chourio hit a home run for the Brewers, with surrounding fans celebrating the play directly in front of him.

Fosado’s Experience:

  • Only person wearing Dodgers merchandise in his section
  • Faced taunting from Brewers fans after home run
  • Noticed atmosphere became quieter as game continued
  • Eventually removed by security

Despite the incident leading to Kobylarczyk’s termination, Fosado expressed sympathy for her situation. He stated that emotions ran high during the game and believed the consequences were excessive for what occurred.

Fosado emphasized that no physical altercation took place between them. He characterized the incident as involving hurt feelings rather than any serious confrontation that warranted job loss.

The Dodgers fan maintained that people should not face severe judgment based on single mistakes made during emotionally charged situations. His perspective highlighted the complex nature of fan interactions during high-stakes playoff games.
