Dodgers Trading Corey Seager To Reds?
Are the Dodgers trading Corey Seager to the Reds?
Los Angeles went into the offseason with an impressive wish list of things that the organization wanted to do. After yet another failed attempt at winning a World Series, big splashy changes were expected.
Unfortunately, nothing all that notable has materialized for the Dodgers up to this point.
For the better part of the last month, the team has been linked to potential trades with the Cleveland Indians and Boston Red Sox, but it is increasingly looking like those too will not turn into anything.
So what are the Dodgers going to do?
Well, according to The Athletic’s MLB insider Ken Rosenthal, they may just trade Seager to Cincinnati and call it a day.

The Reds don’t appear to be deterred by Seager’s injury proneness and apparently have very real interest in acquiring him. They seem to be betting that the ailments which slowed the 25-year-old down in 2019 will not be lingering issues.
Although no names have been mentioned yet, the Reds would presumably send a package consisting of either prospects or starting pitching back to the Dodgers.
A trade between LA and Cincinnati is more likely to happen than other previously discussed deals because, frankly, these two teams love trading with one another.
In December 2018 LA sent Yasiel Puig, Matt Kempt, Alex Wood, Kyler Farmer and cash to the Reds for Homey Bailey, Josiah Gray and Jeter Downs.
Eight months before that, the Dodgers dispatched Zach Neal and Ibandel Isabel to Cincinnati for Ariel Hernandez.
The teams also did multiple trades in 2017.
If a deal for Seager is going to happen, expect for it to happen in the next few weeks.
