Michigan vs Michigan State Winner Is Obvious, Says Colin Cowherd

The Michigan vs Michigan State winner is obvious, says Colin Cowherd.

This weekend will feature a battle of disappointing Big Ten teams when Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines take on Mark Dantonio’s Spartans.

Coming into this season both programs were considered potential heirs to a throne left behind by Urban Meyer.

Instead, neither school could capitalize on Meyer’s departure and are instead going to battle it out for conference mediocrity in this weekend.

Heading into Saturday, Cowherd says that the winner of this weekend’s game is fairly obvious.

“I think Michigan is better but are they that much better?” Cowherd asked.

“I’ll take Michigan State +13.5. People are raving about Michigan being able to run the ball but they aren’t top 15 in the country in rushing.

“Then they talk about quarterback Shea Patterson and I look and see that they’re not even top 50 in the country in passing efficiency,” he continued.

“Mark Dantonio is 8-4 for his career against Michigan and Jim Harbaugh hasn’t gotten tight in these big games. He’s only 3-7 against Notre Dame, Michigan State, and Ohio State.

“Michigan State can run the football, and Dantonio’s 4 losses to Michigan were by 4, 2 9, and 14. I think we have overvalued them based on the Notre Dame win.

“I think Michigan wins, but Michigan State covers.”

Will Cowherd ultimately be proven right in his prediction?

We’ll find out once and for all this weekend.
