Michigan State Cheerleader’s Photos Cause A Stir At March Madness

Michigan State Cheerleader’s Photos Cause A Stir At March Madness

Michigan State upset Marquette this weekend to advance to the Sweet 16 of this year’s March Madness NCAA Tournament.

Between Tom Izzo’s expert-level coaching and stellar play from Tyson Walker, A.J. Hoggard, Joey Hauser, Mady Sissoko and Malik Hall the Spartans found a way to earn a shot at No. 3 seed Kansas State next week.

While the players did their parts and have been objectively impressive up to this point, Michigan State’s cheerleading squad has also left quite the impression.

One member of the team’s squad, in particular, is quickly transforming into a viral star.

Grace currently boasts just under 3,000 followers on Instagram, and that number figures to grow as the Spartans advance further and further in the tournament.

Even now, the engagement on her posts is off-the-charts relative to her follow base.

Big picture, Grace isn’t the first cheerleader to blow up online as a result of her presence at this year’s NCAA Tournament. A Duke dancer also went viral this past weekend, and prior to that a Utah State star captured the hearts and minds of the entire nation.

It has just been that kind of March Madness.

Cheerleading aside, it will be interesting to see how the Spartans ultimately fare against a pretty formidable group in the Wildcats. So far this season they have struggled against Big 12 foes, going 1-6 over the course of 7 match-ups.

And Kansas State is no joke.

While the win over Kentucky probably should have come easier, the Wildcats’ defense has all the tools necessary to shut down Michigan State’s offense. Whether they will actually be able to do that or not remains to be seen, though.

Izzo is a wizard when March rolls around, and the Spartans will need him to pull another rabbit out of his hat in order to advance.

Can Michigan State earn a spot in the Elite 8 next week? Time will tell.
