Miami Cheerleader’s Wild Photos Go Viral Before UConn Game

A Miami cheerleader found herself stealing the headlines this week ahead of her team’s looming Final Four showdown against UConn.

Heading into the NCAA Tournament, nobody expected that a spot in the National Title Game would ultimately come down to a battle between the Hurricanes and Huskies, but here we are.

In the midst of nonstop debates about whether UConn’s defense will be able to hold its own against Miami’s explosive offense, a minor sideplot has emerged: the impressiveness of the latter institution’s cheerleading squad.

A week after one dancer went mega-viral at the Elite Eight, another followed suit ahead of the UConn game.

“Amazing,” one fan replied to a photo.

“Soooo cute,” another agreed.

Big picture, this has been a massive March Madness for cheerleaders.

Between the Creighton dancers who blew up online following their loss to San Diego State, the Texas cheerleader who caused a stir with her wild photos and the San Diego State dancers who stole the show at the Elite Eight, it has been one example after another.

And that’s to say nothing of the Florida Atlantic fan whose provocative photos set the internet ablaze this past week.

All in all, this weekend’s Final Four battle between Miami and UConn promises to be fascinating.

The Hurricanes have an offense that boasts five legit sharpshooters who average more than four three-point attempts per 100 possessions. Oh, and they hit 35 percent from three, too.

When those shots are hitting – it’s a tough offense to stop.

Will UConn be able to do it? Maybe.

Either way, Miami’s cheerleaders will be there cheering their squad on every step of the way.
