Metta World Peace Will Be Next Coach Of New York Knicks

Metta World Peace will be the next head coach of the New York Knicks.

On Friday the team announced that it was parting ways with David Fizdale.

Fizdale was 21-83 over the span of less than two seasons in New York, and his termination was something of an inevitability.

His winning percentage of .202 was the fifth worst in the league amongst teams with a minimum of 100 games over the last 30 seasons.

While Fizdale was not a good coach, it is also hard to ignore the fact that James Dolan has hired and fired 12 head coaches since 1999-2000.

Fizdale will still be owed the remainder of his four-year, $22 million deal despite the termination.

The questions now shift to who will ultimately take over or Fizdale as the next Knicks coach.

Well, on Friday afternoon, a candidate threw hit hat into the mix.

“If the @nyknicks is available, I definitely want to head coach there. I will absolutely bring that street mentality to the garden. Red brick , hard nose , let’s get it popping. QB . This would be epic for all people like me. Straight from the jungles to win a title in NYC. Blaat,” tweeted out Metta World Peace.

Frankly, it is difficult to imagine a more appropriate and fitting coach for this freakshow of a franchise than the man at the center of the biggest brawl in modern NBA history.

The two parties most definitely deserve one another, and if any franchise is insane enough to hire Metta World Peace, it is undoubtedly this one.
