Melvin Gordon To Miami Dolphins A Done Deal?

Is Melvin Gordon to the Miami Dolphins a done deal?

It is no secret that Miami is looking to make some big moves this offseason. Most of the talks surrounding them have centered around which quarterback the Dolphins will ultimately attain.

Now it appears the organization is trying to improve its offense in other ways.

One of those ways? Adding a reliable running back option.

Going into free agency Miami boasts roughly $95 million free cap space. That means the team can make a lot of transactions– it all just comes down to what direction it wants to go in.

According to ESPN NFL insider Cameron Wolfe, Gordon seems to be an object of interest for the Dolphins.

“Miami is expected to check in on Melvin Gordon’s price, and he would have some interest in the Dolphins at the right price, sources told ESPN,” he said.

Gordon is currently still signed to the Los Angeles Chargers, but all signs point to that relationship ending sooner rather than later.

The 26-year-old sat out a decent chunk of last season in contract dispute with the organization, and although he ultimately returned to the fold, he still wants to get paid.

Based on all the signals put out by the Chargers up to this point, they have no plans on paying him.

Will Miami ultimately be able to come up with a deal good enough to entice LA into making the move? Time will tell.
