Luka Doncic is widely regarded as a generational talent who will keep the Dallas Mavericks in championship contention for a decade to come.
If he stopped developing talent-wise today, he would still be one of the best players in the league. But he wont stop developing today. And at just 23 years old, his ceiling is absolutely off the charts.
During Slovenia’s recent showdown against Sweden in 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualifiers, Doncic debuted a new shot that caught observers off guard.

It sounds cliché to say, but the sky hook is an unguardable shot when performed correctly. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar proved this much during his NBA stint.
If Doncic can legitimately make this a regular part of his arsenal, he will become an even more potent offensive threat.

Beyond that, Dallas is currently in the mix for a franchise-altering blockbuster trade. Time will tell if it actually materializes.
Doncic got to the Western Conference Finals this year, but clearly he is hungry for that first ever NBA title. Will next season be when he finally gets it? An answer will emerge soon enough.
