Minnesota Timberwolves guard Malik Beasley found himself in the headlines for all the wrong reasons this week. Fresh off signing a major four year, $60 million deal, the 24-year-old was spotted with the 46-year-old ex-wife of Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen, Larsa.
Normally, stepping out with Larsa wouldn’t be a big deal. Why is this situation different? Because Beasley is married. For now.
According to The Shade Room, however, Beasley’s “wife Montana Yao will be filing for divorce.”

Earlier this week, photos surfaced of Beasley and Larsa seemingly out on a date. According to reports, the photos of Larsa and Beasley stem from a Nov. 23 get-together. The details surrounding their time together remain unclear, though Beasley did seemingly reach out to Larsa via Instagram some weeks back.
Reactions poured in immediately, including from Scottie Jr., who was fed up with his mom’s actions.
Beasley’s wife, Montana Yao, then took to Instagram to express her disbelief regarding her husband’s actions.
The Shade Room also reported on Monday that another woman had emerged, claiming she too had been messing with Beasley.

Larsa has been something of a reality TV and social media mainstay over the past few years, having been linked to the likes of rapper Future and current Boston Celtics big man Tristan Thompson.

Up until very recently, Larsa was an associate of the Kardashian family. However, she seemingly fell out of favor with them for reasons that are not totally clear. She claimed that her feud with the famous family was the byproduct of a bad relationship with Kanye West.
“I just feel like Kanye was in a place where he really didn’t trust anyone with Kim, so I feel like I was the person that was like, ‘Oh, don’t be so close to her because you’re so close to her’, that kinda had something to do with it,” Larsa said several weeks back.
“I don’t want to be the trouble in your relationship. If your husband feels threatened by my relationship with you then I don’t want to be that person. I got my own s**t.”

Her “own s**t” now includes this bizarre situation with Beasley, which has clearly spiraled out of control at this point.
Needless to say, this whole thing is an absolute mess now.
Will Yao move forward with the divorce? Time will tell.
