LSU Coach Has Surprising Words For Clemson
LSU coach Ed Orgeron had surprising words for Clemson this week.
Two weeks off from the National Championship Game, everyone is looking forward to the match-up between this year’s SEC top dogs and the defending champs.
It is every bit the battle of titans that last season’s Alabama versus Clemson showdown was.
During a recent interview, Orgeron was effusive in his praise for what Clemson brings to the table.
“Trevor (Lawrence) hasn’t lost a game,” he said.
“I was really impressed with the way he took the game into his hands against Ohio State. (Travis) Etienne is a great player. They have big receivers.
“I have a lot of respect for Brent Venables. He’s going to dial up some blitzes.
“We’re gonna have to pick them up. It’s going to be a chess match the whole game, but you know what, this is why you play in the national championship. Best against best.”
Will Coach O and his LSU squad be able to slow Lawrence down? We’ll find out in a week and a half.
The National Title Game kicks off from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on January 13.
