Lindsey Vonn’s Response To Body Shamers Goes Viral

Lindsey Vonn is one of the most beloved athletes of her time. Despite making a name for herself in ski racing, a sport that is typically ignored by the masses, the 36-year-old has become an undeniable star and earned the adoration of millions of people all over the world.

There are a lot of positives that come with the celebrity lifestyle, like money and fame. There are plenty of negatives, too. One negative? Online bullying. That is something Vonn has experienced a lot of over the years.

In a recent social media post, Vonn fired back at her haters – letting them know what’s what once and for all.

“I’ve posted quite a few swimsuit pics lately, which is scarier than it seems,” she wrote.

“Even as an athlete there are ruthless comments and media stories that tear apart my body and I admit it sometimes hurts me. I’m a normal person and sometimes I slouch, my stomach folds over, my cellulite shows on my butt, or I don’t fill out my swimsuit top just right.”

Despite it all, Vonn refuses to change for anyone or let the online trolling get to her.

“But, I always remember how my body has helped me achieve amazing things in my life and I am proud of how strong I am,” she continued.

“I’m not a size zero and that’s perfectly fine with me. One thing I can promise all of you is that I never Photoshop my photos and am proud to officially never had any plastic surgery of any kind. No Botox, no fillers, no mini surgeries. Literally nothing. I am 100% natural and 100% Lindsey.”

For obvious reasons, the post immediately went viral.

Vonn will forever go down in history for being one of only two women to win four World Cup overall championships, with three of those victories coming consecutively. In 2010, she also became the first American female to capture Olympic gold in the downhill.

All in all, she is a three-time Olympic medalist and an inspirational figure for many all over the globe.
