LeBron James Mocks Trump With Hat Before Lakers Game

LeBron James mocked President Donald Trump with a custom-made hat prior to the Los Angeles Lakers’ game on Tuesday night.

James was photographed wearing a red hat very similar to President Trump’s infamous “Make America Great Again” ones. Only James’ version had the words “Great Again” crossed out, and replaced with the words “Arrest The Cops Who Killed Breonna Taylor.”

Multiple other members of the Lakers organization were also seen wearing the hat, and the official team Twitter account published a photo of James’ outfit.

Taylor was shot and killed by police officers back in March of this year during a no-knock search warrant home entry. Her boyfriend fired a single shot at officers when they came in, at which point they returned fire. The 26-year-old was shot eight times in the process.

Taylor’s family eventually filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the three cops involved. Thus far, only one of the officers has been fired. None of them have been arrested or charged for the shooting.

Several prominent athletes and entertainers have taken up “Justice for Breonna Taylor” as their cause, including James. It remains to be seen if their vocal support for her will ultimately result in any substantive change.
