LeBron James Is Considering Running President

LeBron James is considering running for President of the United States of America, it would appear.

The Los Angeles Lakers forward has become increasingly politically active over the past few years. He has spoken out on everything from education to racial injustice to financial issues.

A known democrat, he was even brought out by Hillary Clinton at one of her Cleveland rallies in the lead-up to the 2016 elections.

As it turns out, though, James may have some political aspirations of his own.

According to Fox Sports 1 ‘Undisputed’ host Skip Bayless, a source informed him that James has “seriously considered” running for President of the United States.

“It’s a plan of his but not yet a goal,” the source told Bayless.

James’ first public political comments came following the shooting of black teen, Trayvon Martin, in 2012. Ever since then, he has veered into political and societal issues regularly and with great vigor.

While Bayless is obviously known for being somewhat hyperbolic and animated in his statements, this would be an odd thing to lie about.

Chances are, if a source said this to him, the source was probably relaying something James had actually said in the past to his friends.

Obviously James could have just been talking for the sake of talking, with no real intentions behind his words. Or maybe he was completely serious.

Keep in mind, James has already conquered the sporting world. He will likely take over the entertainment world next. Once he gets bored with that, why wouldn’t he take the next logical step and pursue the ultimate position of notoriety and respect in America?
