LeBron James Goes Grey For Lakers vs Mavericks

LeBron James showed up to Thursday evening’s scrimmage between the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks with a new look.

Fans at home quickly noticed that something about James’ face looked different. As it turned out, that difference in appearance was primarily the byproduct of the grey hairs in his beard.

James, 35, may be going grey – but that is about as much of an impact as aging has had on him.

Before the NBA season was temporarily suspended due to Covid-19, he was a legitimate contender for the league MVP award. Although Giannis Antetokounmpo is likely the front runner to repeat for the honor, James’ numbers are nothing to scoff at.

Before the season was called off, James averaged nearly 26 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds per outing. Not bad for a guy in his 17th year as a pro.

James will aim to win his fourth NBA championship, first with the Lakers, over the next few weeks.

The Lakers will officially restart their season next Thursday, July 30, against their arch-rival Los Angeles Clippers. So far this year, the Clippers lead the season series 2-0.
