His versatility has pumped a newfound sense of excitement into the Hornets franchise, something that rarely occurs with small market teams.
Much has been made regarding the relationship between LaMelo and Hornets owner, Michael Jordan.
This week, LaMelo’s dad LaVar offered some interesting commentary on that connection.

“How often does he seek out advice from Michael Jordan? Never!” Lavar said during an interview with HoopsView. “What advice is he gonna give him?…
“When was the last time he won a championship? The game has changed. What’s he gonna tell him?”
That’s certainly one perspective.
LaVar is obviously never shy about sharing his opinion. Whether he is going off on Hornets coach James Borrego or blasting the entire New Orleans Pelicans organization – he always has something to say.
