Lakers, Knicks Discussing Big Kyle Kuzma Trade

The Lakers and Knicks are discussing a big Kyle Kuzma trade.

With the trade deadline just one day away, teams are making moves.

Two of those teams are Los Angeles and New York.

According to a recent report from The Athletic NBA insider Shams Charania, the Lakers and Knicks have engaged in conversations about a possible Kuzma trade.

Kuzma would to go to New York, presumably for someone like Marcus Morris, who the Lakers are said to covet.

New York’s interest in Kuzma is fresh off the organization’s decision to fire team president Steve Mills on Tuesday.

The Lakers view Morris as someone who could come in and be an instant difference-maker on offense in the way Kuzma was supposed to be, but has not been.

Although Kuzma’s ceiling is hire than Morris’, his streakiness is problematic on a championship contender.

Morris is currently having the best year of his career, averaging 19.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per outing.

With the NBA trade deadline set for this coming Thursday, something will probably go down with one if not both of these teams.

It should be an interesting 24-hour stretch ahead.
