James missed his first game of the weekend on Sunday when the Lakers took on the Denver Nuggets. LA ultimately ended up losing the game, despite Davis playing.
Davis seemingly injured his right knee at one point in the game, but apparently not badly enough to miss the Christmas Day game.
James and Davis both reportedly practiced on Tuesday morning and felt good enough to participate in the following day’s outing.
The Clippers and Lakers originally faced off in the first game of the year, with the latter falling to the former 112-102. Paul George did not play in that game, but he is back at full strength now.
The Christmas Day showdown between the two best teams in the Western Conference tips off at 5 p.m. pacific time on ABC.
